Moving Green Things
TV weathermen forecast that Monday night the temperature here in north Florida would drop to 24 degrees, the coldest in several years.
Guess where midnight found me?
Outside in my robe and slippers moving Beauty’s tender plants into our house.
Now I know why she married me. To move outside green things in.
All plants eat dirt!

Barbara’s daughter is home from the hospital after the brain surgery. The family marveled that the operation only took three hours.
My mission in life is to spread joy, light and cheer to the downtrodden and desolate so I sent Mary a message of comfort and consolation:
“The surgery would have taken longer if you had a bigger brain”.

I bet you made Mary laugh!
You certainly made me laugh with your comment about cats and children being 'born to be served'... SO true!!
Hi John, I wish you were my neighbour! Tell my why do these word indentification things sound like German swear words?
PS Give my love to Barb & Mary.

Huh. I have nothing particularly pithy to say except I'm glad you stopped by this morning so I could in turn come by here. Not your usual, run-of-the-mill blog but veeerrrrry interesting! C.S.Lewis- most people don't realize he wrote much more than children's books. :-)
Here's something: we used a moving company called Aslan Worldwide to move us from Michigan to Chicago and Florida- seemed to be a good omen, although moving is grim, no
matter what.
Not so cold down state last night and today but a couple of droopy hibiscus. And, reading back in your posts, you sound like just the sort of person who could use a giant paper wasp nest. Want one?
I think I'll stay tuned for a few days- thanks!
Florida is dropping to 24 degrees and I just checked our forcast for Michigan and we're going to have a HIGH of 13 degress on Saturday!
Sounds like Mary might be ready for that lovely piece of artwork you shared earlier. Her recovery is amazing!
