Gene Maudlin

My e-friend Gene Maudlin died in hospice care Saturday.

Though I never physically met Old Horsetail Snake, my world is diminished.

Yesterday, when I read online of his death, I sat at my computer and cried.

Please, visit my website for more www.cowart.info and feel free to look over and buy one of my books www.bluefishbooks.info

A warm comforting hug to you John. I know how it feels.

We make such close friends on the internet ...people we have never met but are so close to . They cheer and encourage us and bid us on in our life 's journey. i have lost a few e friends too and miss them.Arlene was one who died of cancer last Nov.

You will meet Gene in heaven John.

Dear John C,
your old colleague John Donne is his meditations said it far better than I can do.
"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

Guess it was that you said too.
It's so right.
My condolences.
From Felisol
